If your teaching journey has left you feeling....
stuck
You don't have the clarity you need to move forward.
Unfulfilled
You know something isn't right. Something's missing.
Misaligned
You used to love your job, but the joy is fading.
Lost
You feel called toward something, but you're not sure what.
Ready for change
You're longing for something different that will reignite the spark.
You are not alone. In most career fields, your shifts, pivots, and bumps in the road are all viewed as part of your unique journey. They are the catalyst for growth.
Unfortunately, in education, our desire for different opportunities to lead and grow can be viewed negatively, and that is downright unfair. (As if we don't already feel undervalued... ugh.)
Let's get you unstuck →
map your path!
You've been eyeing work-from-home jobs, and you're ready for a change. So what are your options?
Well for starters, there's no wrong answer.
There's no pre-defined path.
Your career is a journey.
You’re allowed to get curious before you get certain.
You’re allowed to explore quietly, without announcing anything or burning bridges.
You’re allowed to change your mind.
There’s no pre-defined path you’re supposed to follow.
Your career is a journey, not a decision you make once and never revisit.
Maybe you know you’re ready for a full career pivot and have already started browsing work-from-home roles.
Or maybe you’re still in the “something needs to change, but I don’t know what yet” phase.
Either way, you deserve to know what’s actually possible.
Get the inspiration and support, and tools you need to tap into your strengths, discover a role that excites you, and figure out your next step.
Learn about your career change options and find your next right step.
Get inspired and set your vision.
- Figure out what you actually want. Step out of survival mode and zoom out. You’ll clarify what kind of work, impact, and life you actually want next — without rushing yourself into a decision you’re not ready for.
- Understand what’s really possible for teachers. Explore the full landscape of corporate, education-adjacent, and work-from-home roles that teachers successfully move into, and learn how those paths actually work in real life.
- Uncover your unique strengths. Learn how to translate what you already do every day as a teacher into the strengths companies value. You’ll stop second-guessing your experience and start seeing where you naturally fit.
- Finally feel fulfilled. Because you chose your path intentionally. We’ll define what fulfillment looks like for you, map out how to get there, and help you take the next step with confidence.
And get the knowledge you need to navigate the uncertainty.
- Understand the financial side of the transition. You’ll learn how to think realistically about salary, benefits, retirement, and tradeoffs when moving out of the classroom, so you can plan your next step without financial surprises.
- Replace pressure with a plan. Instead of holding a vague “I should do something else someday” in your head, you’ll walk away with clarity, structure, and a next step you can actually act on.
- Get the knowledge you need to navigate uncertainty. Career transitions feel overwhelming when everything is vague. You'll get a clear framework, so you’re not guessing, spiraling, or jumping into the wrong next move.
You have options.
your next right step...
Understand how you actually work, what kind of problems you enjoy solving, and what environments will support the life you’re building.

SHOW ME THE GUIDE!
Get Clear on What You Want (And What You Don't)
Before resumes, applications, or job boards, you’ll step back and assess what’s energizing you, what’s draining you, and what kind of impact you want to have in this season of life. This part helps you notice patterns, clarify priorities, and let go of the idea that there’s only one “right” move.
Translate your experience into options
Next, you’ll learn how to frame what you already do as a teacher in ways other industries understand. You’ll explore the roles teachers actually move into, how those roles differ in practice, and which ones align with your strengths, interests, and preferred pace of work. This is where confusion turns into possibility.
Make Your Move
Focus on making thoughtful, strategic decisions, from choosing the right level and company to understanding compensation, timing, and tradeoffs. Instead of reacting out of burnout or fear, you’ll have a clear direction and a plan for taking your next step in a way that’s sustainable and aligned.

Hi. I'm Alissa, your career growth guide.
10 years into my teaching career, I looked out at the sea of desks in front of me and felt totally stuck.
Could I really spend another 30 years doing this, day in and day out?
I wanted growth. I wanted to learn new things. I wanted to solve bigger problems and stretch the way my brain worked.
What I really wanted was flexibility, challenge, and room to evolve, without burning myself out or starting over from scratch.
It took time (and a few wrong turns), but eventually I found my way into a full-time, work-from-home role in education. A role where I could use my teaching experience in a new way, keep learning, and build a career that actually fit the life I was living.
That transition didn’t happen overnight. It wasn’t linear. And it definitely wasn’t obvious at the beginning.
What changed everything was learning how to see my skills differently, understand the landscape of work-from-home roles available to teachers, and make thoughtful choices instead of reactive ones.
That’s why I created this guide.
You need clarity, language for what you already do well, and a realistic way to explore what’s next.
My goal is to help you understand what lights you up, and how to move toward it in a way that makes sense for you.
"Should I read this guide?"
If you're a teacher who...
- Is curious about work-from-home roles, but isn’t sure where to start
- Wants more flexibility, growth, or sustainability than the classroom currently allows
- Has looked at job listings and thought, “I could do this… but I don’t know how to explain my experience”
- Loves education, but doesn’t want administration to be the only path forward
- Feels out of sync with the idea that teaching has to look one specific way for an entire career
If you’re carrying quiet questions about your career, your growth, or your future, and you want a thoughtful, realistic way to explore your options, this ebook was written for you.
You've got this.
Is this guide only for teachers who want to leave the classroom?
Will this help me find a job immediately?
Can I use this if I’m unsure about timing?
